A Cadet’s Life at Virginia Tech

The daily life of a cadet at Virginia Tech is different from that of other students on campus.

Most cadets in ROTC participate in physical training from 5 a.m. until 6:30 a.m., and then they are required to go to formation every morning. They have specific physical requirements they have to meet by the end of each year.

Cadets are obligated to enroll in particular courses for the corps, in addition to classes pertinent to their chosen military branch.
