Texas A&M student veteran Ennis Rios and Deputy Corps Commander of the Corps of Cadets will graduate from the College of Geosciences after persevering through great adversity in his life.

Unbeknownst to him, his path to Texas A&M began when he dropped out of high school and joined the U.S. Navy, where he spent the next 15 years. When he was in Germany in naval special warfare, he met his wife, a Texas A&M graduate. It was at that moment he knew he was college bound.

As a high school dropout with no SAT scores and no college credits, Rios overcame adversity as a non-traditional student. He is truly an inspiration for all.
