Grace Snyder will be attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point this Fall. When she looked for boots in the supply store at West Point, she walked out with men’s boots, since the store doesn’t even carry women’s sizes.
Her journey begins with boot camp in July, transitions to studying law and economics, and then she will enter the military as an officer, where she will serve a minimum of five years. West Point is a distinguished school. Tuition, room, board and insurance is at no cost to students, and they will have a job waiting for them post graduation.
Snyder’s mother and grandfather served in the U.S. Air Force. Her great-grandfather and his father both served in the U.S. Army. Various other family members were also involved in the military.
