The Transpacific Yacht Race will begin on July 10 in Long Beach, California and end in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Approximately 800 sailors, including students from Cal Maritime, have prepared themselves for the physical, mental and emotional challenges that they may encounter throughout the competition.
The majority of sailors are newcomers to the race this year.
