U.S. Naval Sea Cadets assist in memorial preparation

WAHOO – Fourteen U.S. Naval Sea Cadets from the Cornhusker Division prepared various memorial sites in Wahoo for the Memorial Day weekend.

The Cadets cleaned the walls, markers and benches of the Saunders County Veterans Memorial at the Courthouse and helped to put more than 700 veterans’ crosses and American flags next to the veterans’ graves at Sunrise Cemetery.

Members of the Sea Cadets, who range in age from 10 to 18, are working towards earning their community service ribbon.
